{"id":74,"date":"2015-07-15T23:32:19","date_gmt":"2015-07-15T21:32:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eurprobiol.eu\/?page_id=74"},"modified":"2015-07-15T23:32:19","modified_gmt":"2015-07-15T21:32:19","slug":"activities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/eurprobiol.eu\/index.php\/activities\/activities\/","title":{"rendered":"Activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Activities<\/h1>\n<h6><strong>Activities of the Steering Committee and Council<\/strong><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Participation in an EU qualification program for Liberal Professions to develop a professional registration system including EU-ID-ProCard in Nov. 2013.<\/li>\n<li>The \u2018European Alliance for Subject-Specific and Professional Accreditation and Quality Assurance\u2019 [EASPA] was founded during a meeting at the\u00a0<a title=\"Visit the ASIIN website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.asiin-ev.de\/pages\/en\/asiin-e.-v.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external\">ASIIN<\/a> offices in D\u00fcsseldorf, Germany, on 29 November 2011. EASPA is a pan-European platform for quality assurance in higher education, uniting eight member professional associations in Europe, which act as European field-specific networks.<\/li>\n<li>Working with the AIM group to streamline the continuous professional education (CPE) for professionals working in medicine development. Initial meeting was in October 2011 in the UK.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><strong>Activities of the EPB-Committee<\/strong><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Certification of EPBs from 9 EU nations and 3 Commonwealth countries in 2010-2015<\/li>\n<li>Building up an EPB database with self-editable personal information in addition to officially approved data.<\/li>\n<li>EPC Commission meetings and Skype conferences.<\/li>\n<li>Report of the EPB Commissioner at the ECBA Council Meetings (CM)<\/li>\n<li>relaunch of the EPB website was on June 2010<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><strong>Activities of the national EPB officers<\/strong><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Scanning their biological associations for potential new EPBs<\/li>\n<li>Informing their biological associations about the new information material, which is now available on the EPB website as well as on the ECBA website.<\/li>\n<li>Informing biologists in their countries about the EPB program of ECBA as a renewed strategy to guarantee comparability of qualifications in the EU.<br \/>\nBringing professional biologists in 27 EU countries together.<\/li>\n<li>Using xing\/facebook\/linkedin for member contacts!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><strong>Activities for members:<\/strong><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Advertizing the EPB title at EU institutions in Bussels.<\/li>\n<li>Offering the EPB-title as a quality label to the European Commission<\/li>\n<li>Develloping an official professional ID-card for EPBs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><strong>EPB-Meetings<\/strong><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>EPB-Meetings are optional meetings, which will not be scheduled regularely.<br \/>\nThe next EPB meeting will appear in NEWS and all certified EPBs will be invited via mail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important strategic EPB-meetings:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>EurProBiol-Meeting 2010: it was planned to be held in Brussells (Nov. 2010)<\/p>\n<p>EPBs from all countries have been invited to send proposals for contributions (presentations of about 10 minutes).<\/p>\n<p>The proposals have been collected by the EPB-Committee and the authors got information until September, whether their proposals have been accepted for specific sessions.<\/p>\n<p>Important stategic decisions concerning professional EU qualification and EU acknowledgement have been important topics for future professional mobility in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Sessions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>code of conduct<\/li>\n<li>bachelors and the EPB<\/li>\n<li>networking<\/li>\n<li>European qualifiacations framework for biology<\/li>\n<li>New biology; helping EU to gain benefit from EurProBiols<\/li>\n<li>&#8230;&#8230;..<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Activities Activities of the Steering Committee and Council Participation in an EU qualification program for Liberal Professions to develop a<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":24,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-74","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/eurprobiol.eu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/74","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/eurprobiol.eu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/eurprobiol.eu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/eurprobiol.eu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/eurprobiol.eu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=74"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/eurprobiol.eu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/74\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":75,"href":"https:\/\/eurprobiol.eu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/74\/revisions\/75"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/eurprobiol.eu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/24"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/eurprobiol.eu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=74"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
